At BRENTEC we are committed to helping consumers manage their livestock needs while also managing their costs. To help us meet our commitment, we invest in robust quality systems that enable us to manufacture high-quality products while keeping our production costs low.
Sustainability: Our production system seeks continuous enhancements across the entire supply chain, including formulation, packaging, design, and efficacy of the vaccines we produce, to address market demands identified by our customers. We are committed to minimising waste, improving energy efficiency, and implementing green technologies to reduce environmental impact.
At A Glance
BRENTEC’s vaccine operations started in 2011 with the completion of the construction of a pilot scale manufacturing facilty ate the Uganda Industrial Research Institute Nakawa Campus.
We are proud to have launched KUKUSTAR®; a thermostable vaccine against Newcastle Disease during the 2014 fiscal year. This vaccine has been formulated specifically for use in the tropical climate zones of sub-Saharan Africa. KUKUSTAR® is the only locally manufactured thermostable vaccine in the region that is registered for use. Our customers include pharmacies, agro veterinary input supply shops, hatcheries, commercial farmers and small holder farmers.
We arededicated to developing the livestock
sector in Africa. The Livestock industry is key to economic development in all African
countries and is a major poverty alleviation tool used to uplift the livelihoods of poor rural
households. BRENTEC’s aim is to provide access to quality and affordable first line
vaccinations to support this sector and thus eliminate the major diseases that are a
hindrance to the development of this sector of the economy.
